Hello! I’ve broken my portfolio down thematically below, with a few bits of info along the way too.
Bio
I grew up in Bridport, Dorset, and after 12 years living in London returned to the West Country in 2024. I am one half of the band Strange Boy, who released our debut album Love Remains in 2024 (4* Mojo, 4* Rolling Stone). I run the club night and label Circle Dance, which throws parties throughout the year in SE London and has raised over £7k for progressive campaign groups and charities. Through Circle Dance I release my own solo electronica project under the name Muckers. As a composer I have credits with the BBC, Channel 4, Royal Opera House, Barbican, Vogue and more, have collaborated with artists like Jeremy Deller and Mark Storor, and have led workshops for the National Theatre, National Youth Theatre and Good Chance Theatre.
Selected awards:
To Catch a Copper (C4) - BAFTA Best Factual Series; Broadcast Awards Best Doc Series
Country Girl (indie doc) - Grierson Award Best Documentary Short
My Mother’s Eyes (indie animation) - Tribeca Best Animated Short
Strange Boy
I am one half of the band Strange Boy, along with singer and composer Kieran Brunt. We released our debut album Love Remains in 2024 with Groenland Records. The album was co-produced with Richard Formby and featured contributions from Nico Muhly, Paul Corley, Valgeir Sigurðsson and Anna B Savage. It was called ´the most beautiful melancholy´ in Rolling Stone and ´enthralling, elegant ballads´ in Mojo.

Circle Dance and Muckers
Muckers is the alias I use for my solo project. I have released 3 EPs of pastoral, psychedelic electronica, receiving support from Ross Allen, Ruf Dug, Alexis Taylor and Posthuman.
You can listen to a few selected tracks here:
I have released this music (on vinyl, cassette tape and digital) through my project Circle Dance, a record label and party. We’ve been running events in South East London for 3 years, combining short films, workshops, live music (from Welsh harp folksong and psychedelic jazz to a solo Alexis Taylor set), talks and DJs, with a strong radical political underpinning and raising over £7000 for progressive causes along the way. At these events I often play my Muckers set live with a band of other musicians (you can watch some examples of that here). Circle Dance has become a key fixture of the thriving SE London DIY nightlife scene.

Scoring - Delicate, Emotional, Ambient
Below are a selection of cues from various film and TV projects I have scored that have a delicate and emotional feel and an ambient, synthy and/or stringy palette. These are taken from documentaries for BBC and Channel 4, indie docs for the Uncertain Kingdom and the Guardian, a film for Vogue about women in Iran, and some production music.
Scoring - Dark, Synthy, Rhythmic and Ominous
In contrast, here are some cues with a darker feel, often veering into horror, with a heavily processed sound palette and sense of forboding. These are taken from the BAFTA-winning docu-series To Catch a Copper, the docu-series The Moors Murders: A Search for Justice (for BBC Two), and some production music.
Adverts, Podcasts and Misc.
Below is a selection of short pieces of music I’ve written for various uses. There are adverts for Amnesty International and Lacoste, some podcast theme tunes for leftwing media organisation Novara Media, and an excerpt from an installation I created with artist Jeremy Deller in collaboration with clothing brand Aries.
Children and Fun
Below is a selection of lighter and weirder pieces that I would consider fun and comedic, with some specifically created for children. These are variously taken from ads, some family theatre, and a BBC Alba children’s show.
Theatre
I have worked extensively in theatre. While a lot of this music is not recorded, below are a couple of excerpts from some theatrical pieces I composed: ‘Among the Flowers’ (a Royal Opera House commission) and an adaptation of Raymond Carver’s What We Talk About When We Talk About Love.
