Tipping Point is a theatre company run by Nathan Crossan-Smith which began life in 2015 through a series of lyrical residencies in youth justice settings, funded by a Deutsche Bank Award for Dramatic Art. Since then, Tipping Point has run eight week-long residences with vulnerable young people, bringing together grime, poetry and storytelling with ideas from narrative therapy about the role stories have in our lives.

The workshops have formed the research for a devised piece (in development) which asks questions about the experiences of at-risk young people and young people in contact with the youth justice system. Tipping Point now partners with National Theatre to deliver young people’s projects exploring grime and movement.

I have collaborated as composer, sound designer and workshop leader on courses for young people at the National Theatre since 2017 as part of Tipping Point's Space 2 Create project, including site-specific performances on the NT Estate and at the NT Studios.
